PRINCIPAL's UPDATE
Dear School Community,
As we begin the second semester, I wanted to take a moment to update you on some exciting changes and initiatives at our school. We are committed to continually improving and ensuring the success of all our students. One of the key updates is the implementation of a new math curriculum, alongside the integration of i-Ready. This program not only supports individualized learning but also serves as our new diagnostic tool for assessing student progress, replacing NWEA. We are confident that this change will provide more accurate insights into our students' needs and better guide our instruction.
In addition to academic improvements, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our after-school tutoring program. Tutoring will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing extra support for students who need it. We will also be introducing new after-school activities, including Art Club and Spanish Club, to offer more opportunities for student engagement and growth outside of the classroom. We will also be hosting our annual Spelling Bee and Science Fair this year. We are also looking to create an Intramural Sports program for students in grades 3rd-5th.
Our continued focus this semester will be on increasing student achievement, fostering greater parent participation, and addressing our truancy rate. We understand that these areas are crucial to the success of our students, and we are eager to work together with families to create the best learning environment possible.
We look forward to a productive and rewarding semester ahead. As always, thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community.
Sincerely,
Ms. Polk
